How about joining our friends from the Sacramento Valley Bears as they enjoy the rides at these two unique parks? Their club has graciously invited us to join them for this weekend event. Saturday everyone is going to Santa Cruz
Beach Boardwalk, then spending Saturday night in Gilroy. Sunday the bears will be having breakfast at the Black Bear Diner in Gilroy at 8:30am and then heading for Gilroy Gardens, formerly Bonfante Gardens. They have discounted tickets for both parks and hotel suggestions for Saturday night in Gilroy. Check out the details at Sacramento Valley Bears. You can choose to enjoy just one day, or join the fun for both.

Everybody enjoys a wedding reception - and who doesn't enjoy cheap beer? Join all of your friends as they support the fight for equal rights for all in California. Celebrate this year's historic gay and lesbian weddings with a Wedding Reception Beer Bust to benefit Equality CA. The fight did not end with our historic State Supreme Court decision last spring. Now a constitutional amendment battle needs to be fought. Help support the organization that has been in the trenches all the way. This community beverage benefit (AKA "beer bust") is at the Lone Star Saloon, 1354 Harrison St.

The cost is $9.00 which entitles you to free refills of draft beer or soft drinks. But what's a wedding reception without food, wedding cake and a champaigne toast? For $5.00 extra you can get the "Chapel of Love Special" which includes the food, champaigne and other goodies. All newly weds or engaged couples can join in the fun and will receive the Chapel of Love Special for free, simply by showing a copy of their wedding license.
